Merrill Police Department Report: Week Ending May 19th

The Merrill Police Department responded to 17 requests for assistance this past week. Six were for vehicle crashes, no injuries resulted from any of the crashes. Five calls were received for disturbances, three of those at local businesses. There were two calls involving minors. Two calls came in for theft, and one report of a tractor dropping unsecured items onto the roadway near the courthouse. That call resulted in the driver being arrested for disorderly conduct along with nine counts of bail jumping. Officers also observed a vehicle swerving in its lane of travel, with the driver being arrested for OWI.
